In 2000, Ken's competitive fishing drive began to take flight. He fough his way up through the amature ranks, fishing local and pro/am tournaments. He then made the jump to fishing as a pro in the Ever Start Western Series. That first season he finished 8th overall. This high finish qualified Ken to fish the FLW Tour. He then made the jump to the big leagues. That first season he finished 18th over all and was named the 2005 FLW Rookie of the Year. Since then he has racked up nearly $400,000 in career earnings, qualified for the FLW Forest Wood Cup 3 times.
This past year ended on a high note he was named the 2008 FLW Land O' Lakes Angler of the Year that also included three top 10 finishes. With a great season behind him he went to the East and West fish off where he defeated David Dudley to win a birth to the 2009 FLW Forest Wood Cup. August of 2009 he will compete for the top $1,000,000 prize.
